Bring Wes Home

Before I joined the Air Force, seven and a half years ago, I drove carriage horses in downtown Salt Lake City. I spent the majority of my days there driving a very, very special Belgian gelding named Wesson. I worked with Wes from the very first day the barn owners brought him and his teammate home from a Denver auction. I named them Smith and Wesson and got them both started driving single. I took Wes out for his first night of work in down town Salt Lake and many, many nights after that. I enjoyed every single minute we spent together. I spent a lot of my off time at work just to spend time with Wes.

Before I left for basic training I promised Wes I would be back for him. Since that time I have kept in contact with the barn owners and a friend that still works there. The owners told me recently that it has come time for Wes to retire after the first of the year and I have always been the first on the list as his retirement home. I am currently stationed 2,100 miles from Wes. The price to ship him home will be $2,300.00. This is with a reputable, professional shipping company that I have used before and had a great experience with. He would travel in comfort on a tractor trailer (semi).

He will be coming home to retire to the green pastures of south Georgia with my two mares. He deserves the best, I just have to get him to it. Please help me bring Wes home. Thank you in advance for a donation in any amount.
