In the fall of 2015, Missy Hitchcock was diagnosed with stage four bladder cancer. Missy and Bill Hitchcock need our help with the tremendous number of medical bills that are piling up and daily expenses while Missy is unable to work. Missy has been in chemotherapy and is facing another upcoming surgery.
Who are the Hitchcocks?
Missy and her husband, Bill are icons in our small village of Aurora, NY. Missy worked at Wells College for almost ten years. Bill co-founded and currently works at the Aurora Shoe Company, and is also an active member of the Masons Lodge in Aurora. You're probably seen Bill and Missy driving the Wells Fargo stagecoach at Wells' graduation or hung out with them at the Fargo. Missy and Bill are two of the most humble and giving people you will ever meet. These two have given so much to our Aurora, we would like to ask the members of the community to help Missy and Bill now in this difficult time.
What can you do to help?
We're organizing a benefit event for the Hitchcocks on May 14th, 2016 at the Aurora Fire Station on Main Street. It will be a dinner and auction. There will be kids games, pony rides, entertainment and a live jousting tornament. Did you know the Hitchcocks worked for 10 years with a medieval jousting company? Paragon Jousting will be holding a jousting match where you can bet on your favorite knight to raise money for this cause. So, please attend our event.
