Let's get Ben mobile!!

Benjamin is a wonderful, bright, intelligent 5 year old boy who has Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy and Dystonia. This means he is affected in both arms and both legs, so at this point he is unable to crawl, walk, or sit-up on his own. Many of the things that the rest of us take for granted, Ben either cannot do or has to work much harder to do on his own. He is verbal and communicates very well with those around him and he is such a delight to talk to! Since he is verbal, he has made it very clear that he wants to walk, run, and play with other children. In order to make this happen we need special equipment.

Like with anything else in life, all of this special equipment comes at a cost. Unfortunately, most things come at a high cost and not everything is covered by insurance. We are blessed enough to have a job that provides us with the means to where we don't qualify for SSI or medicaid. The other side to this coin is that we pay a whole lot out of pocket.
