Help for Debra and Kavin
Donation protected
It hurts my heart to have to explain what we all fear-
Debra is a single mom of a 13 year old boy named Kavin. Debra owns and operates the small business Debra Dee's Lavish Lashes located in vancouver and is currently a cosmetology student and has also recently been involved with community outreach with the homeless community "right to dream too". A few weeks ago, she and her sister, with the help of friends, family, and clients, spent 4 weekends going down and donating toiletries, food, backpacks, blankets, tarps, warm clothing and other items of need to "right to dream too" occupants.
Yesterday, while Debra was at work and her son was at school (in broad daylight) someone (likely multiple participants) broke into their home and robbed them of anything and everything they could get their hands on that was of value, including all of Kavin's christmas gifts, jewelry, tvs, Kavin's PS3, games, movies, car titles, important documents, spare cash and car keys. The list does not end there I am sure. Topping the list of things these thieves stole is the security that Debra and Kavin once knew. This happened roughly between the hours of 9am and 4pm. This time of year is tough for everyone and as a result, crimes like this increase. People become desperate, thinking of only themselves. We can only hope that these criminals make a mistake and get caught trying to sell some of what they took but as an extra effort we would like to get Debra's story out so these thieves can be brought to justice and maybe we can save christmas for these two very special people. Nobody deserves for this to happen but when it happens to someone who is working so hard to provide a good, safe and secure life and home for herself and her child, it's truly heartbreaking.

Message from Debra's Sister-
With a heavy heart I must explain what happened yesterday-Yesterday my sister and my little nephew had her house broke into and robbed for everything while she was at work and he was away at school. They came in and destroyed her home, tearing up things, and leaving nothing un turned and took everything.. even personal mementos that cannot be replaced. Her and her 13 year old son were violated. My heart hurts so deeply. The thieves stole so many things.. Christmas presents, everything from her sons room, car keys, pink slips to cars, TV's, jewelry.. everything.
I'm asking for help. I want to find these bastards and have them pay for what they did, and I want my Sister and my nephew to know regardless of all of this.. they have a community that loves them and stands by them.
Roses restaurant here in town has already offered to put together a fundraiser. I am asking anyone with ties to the news stations or where ever to get the word out.
We can't fix what has happened. But we can show a working + going to school single mom of a 13 year old boy .. that we care, and have her back. Please take a moment to see what you might be able to do in any way. How terrible they did this all before Christmas as well. I am just so glad my nephew and my Sister were not home at the time of this terrible crime.
Please pray for our family in this time...
Thank you everyone. Please spread the word. She is someone that deserves a little break and a caring heart. Thank you.
