Help Make Tah’s Final Days Her Best

Hello, my name is Tah'quita (Tah for short), and I am 20 years old, residing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ever since the age of 16, i have been undergoing serious medical issues. I was randomly diagnosed with interstitial lung disease after i had trouble breathing. Nobody knows where it came from. It literally happened out of nowhere! I used to be completely healthy and normal, then one day i started having bad breathing problems. I was born with asthma so the hospital just said it was asthma, instead of looking into it. It went on for a few years til one day my breathing got REALLY bad and on top of that, my muscles stopped working. I couldn’t eat or drink, sit up in bed, talk; anything. My muscles were being attacked. My mom literally had to feed me and brush my teeth. I got rushed to the hospital, then they finally did a surgery to cut a piece of my lung and my stomach tissue to see what was wrong. That’s when they found out i have the autoimmune disease (Polymyositis) that attacks ALL the muscles in my body. Since my lungs have muscles, they attacked my lungs first. That’s what gave me interstitial lung disease. It also attacked my heart, which made it have extra fluid that keeps coming back. And it created a hole inside my abdomen that made my heart slip through and get stuck behind my actual stomach. I had to get surgery for that. It attacks my legs and arms, making me super weak. It attacks everything. And it’s painful. But I’m on meds that shut down my immune system to slow it down from attacking itself. But the bad thing about that is, now i can’t fight off infections. That’s what the immune system is for. So i get sick REALLY easily. I get pneumonia like once a month, and that also damages my lungs. My lungs are just trash at this point. I don’t get enough oxygen in my body, which is why I’m dying. My body is slowly shutting down daily. ‍♀️ and i look COMPLETELY different from these steroids they have me on to try to slow down the damage on my lungs. They make you eat A LOTTTTTT. You’re always hungry!!! And they bloat you up. Usually my fingers get bloated or my neck, but this time they put me on the highest dose someone can ever be on, and it messed me up. It broke my face out so bad and made my face soooooo fat. And now i look like raven when she ate mushrooms on that episode of Thats So Raven lol. Now my lungs are so bad to the point where I have actually passed away in the ambulance and in the ER at the hospital, but was brought back. I was also put in medically induced comas and a ventilator to breathe because my lungs are getting tired of fighting. My pulmonologist informed me that I have less than 6 months to live, and i am now in hospice care. My lungs and body are so weak to the point where i can’t go anywhere but to the toilet and back in bed. My life sucks. The only joy i get is ordering little things online, but that hasn’t been plausible lately, due to a decrease in funds. My parents have to buy me all this stuff to make living comfortable (pjs, extra hygiene things, bed sheets, a recliner, etc) and they still try buying me nice gifts to make me happy. But, this whole thing took a hit on our finances. It breaks my heart because i feel like I’m selfish for wanting to buy little nice things for myself, you know? Nobody else buys it for me. I can’t physically GO anywhere, i don’t really have visitors because of my immune system. I’m in my room 24/7....literally. And online shopping brings me a little happiness. I’d also like to take some of the stress off my parents for always buying me things. I want to get back into cosmetics, but that costs money; makeup, nail material, hair materials....it’s like i can’t catch a break. I want to invest my time in something other than school (i am a straight A student and a junior on the Presidents List at Purdue University Global). But i really need help to do so...and i HATE asking for anything, but i just wanna make my last days here, my best days. Anything would help and is appreciated. God bless ❤️
