Full Moon Ranch
Donation protected
Full Moon Ranch is a soon-to-be off-the-grid organic farm, venue, campground and home set on a beautiful 20 acres in Pershing County, Nevada. We are currently raising funds to drill the well and build an earthbag home as our homestead. We hope to spread awareness in growing organic produce, living sustainably and microbrewing.
Where is the money going?
Drilling a well is our number one priority, as every home and garden needs fresh water. We are also raising money to build the homestead, greenhouse, and alternative energy solutions like solar panels.
We also have other plans that we would like to see to fruition, but are too far down the line at the moment to consider raising money for, but any donations towards those endeavors would certainly help us kick start those ideas.
Some of those ideas include: starting a flow and/or hoop dance event, annual festival/concert, raising chickens for their eggs, cultivating drought tolerant bamboo to build a venue, and necessary amenities for a happy campground.
What is an Earthbag Home?
An earthbag home is built with sandbags filled with rammed earth and then covered with earthen plaster. It has thick walls and can be built partially, or fully, underground , so it contains geo-thermal energy to help keep the rooms inside at a constant, comfortable temperature instead of fluctuating and needing alternative energy from other sources. Because we are off grid, what power we will be using will be from solar panels and wind turbines. This image here is an example of what they can look like: Earthbag Home example
You're building a venue?
We would like to offer opportunities for artists to perform and to hold workshops that teach the benefits of going organic and learning how to live sustainably. We plan to build the stage out of the bamboo we grow, which would be another example of alternative, sustainable materials. We would like to start an annual festival of art and music on our property, and the bamboo stage would be the center of events.
The end result:
Our aim is to spread earth-friendly, conscious thinking and living, and to provide fresh, organic produce to those who wish to eat consciously.
Thank you for taking the time to read and participate in our fundraiser. We will be looking into a rewards system in the near future for further incentive to help us in our endeavors.
