Dahab Bedouin School Project
Donation protected
Education is our most powerful tool for social change.
Following previous volunteer work in Egypt, I have been asked to teach in two new Bedouin schools, in Dahab, South Sinai, teaching English, environmental stewardship and crafts for, importantly, both girls and boys together. I have the skills and the time to give, but I need funds to get there, support myself and take over resources to use in the schools, hence asking for your cash!
I'll also organise beach cleans with both locals and tourists to foster closer relationships and a sense of caring for the beautiful coral reefs.
This follows on from a previous residency in Dahab crocheting a coral reef to start conversations about marine plastic pollution, and plastic gathered during beach cleans will be used to make new artworks promoting marine stewardship.
