Need newer used car / upgrade 1985

Hello. My name is Debra and I am a 53 year old mother of two boys; 21 and 18 who is happily married for 32 years.  For many years my husband has been an outdoors person and mechanic, hardly staying still, and now can hardly move. After being denied any of his VA benefits due to loss of records; we just found out from many recent x-rays at the San Francisco VA clinic that Werner is suffering from Degenerative Disk Disease; with bone spurs from his neck all the way to his lower back and nerve damage which makes any type of sitting , standing, bending, squatting or walking incredibly painful.  We are now waiting for his appeal which was started in 2016.  We are on the docket for a JAG judge since 10/2017.  Living on SDI of 600 for the entire month has put a strain on our family and finances.  I am currently looking for a job here in the Modesto area, but it has been really tough.

I am hoping 2018 could be the beginning to a new line of work :)
We have moved away from Daly City to Modesto, CA in search of a real summertime weather away from the fog.  I now have a garden with fresh vegetables like tomatoes, watermelon, honeydew, bell, and jalapeno peppers.  We are looking for a better life in the central valley.
