My Sister and Her Story
In 2007 my sister Jaime was diagnosed with Medullary Sponge Kidney Disease.

We finally got a name and diagnosis for this after many hospital visits and surgeries for kidney stones. But this last time in July 2013...I almost lost my sister. At this time we found out that the disease was genetic and that sadly, it had progressed into the last stages of renal failure. So it was then that she realized she had to quickly start the process of getting on the transplant kidney donor list. Her goal was to get on that list by October. She made it by November 3rd.
Thankfully several people signed up to donate her their kidney, (even I tried) but her husband George said "no", that he wanted to give his kidney to the love of his life. The chances of her husband being a match are 1 in 30,000. Well, as it turns out...he is a match!! George knowing already how much she loves the outdoors and camping just listened to her when she said she wished she could feel better so that she could just be able to do this with their boys. Jacob 11 and Colby 4. So George being the most unselfish person I've ever met and Jaime's hero told her "Jaime your time is coming to do all of that, because I've been holding on to your kidney for 31 years just waiting for the time that you would need it."
They have been together since 2008, and were married in 2009. He loves her with all his heart.
Since George is donating his kidney to my sister, they will both be off work, and will need a lot of help. The recovery period will be 6 to 8 weeks. George's recuperation will take longer than Jaime's because his body will have to adjust to functioning on only 1 kidney. Jaime will be on medication for the rest of her life for anti-rejection of the new kidney at the cost of $1825.05 a month after insurance has paid.
The transplant date is either January 29 or February 5.
I am trying to explain to you my urgency in asking you to please help me in raising funds to offset some of their medical and household expenses.
I love my sister with all my heart and soul, and she is suffering physically and also mentally stressed. I would do anything to take away her pain. (Everyone's pain.) I know she is scared and just wants to feel better. I don't even know if she has thought about what will happen $$$ wise while all of this is happening, she just wants to feel better!
My heart would be broken without her and I love her so dearly.
So this is something I can do to try and help them, and that is by asking you for your prayers and support to help me to raise funds any little thing helps! I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at!

PS - They have no clue I'm doing this, but will soon, I will take the lashing later!
