My name is Al Misuraca Jr...

I am raising money partially to fund my trip across the Continental US. I started in New Brunswick, NJ and will reach my destination in San Diego, CA. I am hitch hiking the entire way so some of the money will go towards food, clothing, and shelter. When I arrive I plan on using the rest of the funds from this site to obtain supplies like paper, pens, flyers, petition material, video equipment, computer hardware, business fees, and rental space. The reason is I'm starting an organization called H.O.M.E. It stands for (H)ealth, (O)wnership, (M)akeover, (E)nvironment. The mission is simple teach the destitute, institutionalized, homeless how to maintain and sustain a healthy, spiritual, and holistic lifestyle. Healthy living will consist of transitioning over from a processed diet to a vegiterian including chefs that will not only cook the daily meals but instruct our clients how to prepare them too. Living arrangements will have limited access to television, instead computer usage, yoga, exercise, real social interaction with live people will be allowed. During the course of the day gardening, building trades, and individual talent refinement will be emphasized and taught. This way after a year's time , clients are properly equipped with the tools to not only be fully self-efficient but happy too. This is a mind, body, and soul cleanse. By the end of one year the clients will be able to not only build or buy their own home but be focused enough to raise a family based off of spiritual principles and health conscious choices. My dream is to build a communal mindset people working together for the betterment of us all from the staff to the clients.
