Study Abroad in London

My name is Kelly and on May 2nd, 2014 I'll be traveling to London, England for a Study Abroad summer semester. I'm currently double majoring in Musical Theatre & English at the University of Utah. Theatre, literature, and the history of both are my passions. This study abroad benefits both my majors and my growth as a human being.
The study abroad program consists of six weeks, two classes, six credits in humanities, the fulfillment of my international credit requirement, plus an experience of a lifetime! I've never been out of the country or on a six week trip to another place. I'm so excited to see the sights, experience great theatre, and learn all about Shakespeare and Contemporary Drama (the 2 classes!). Going to London is such an amazing opportunity. Attending Grad school and achieving my M.F.A. in theatre (not sure which part yet!) are goals I have set and some of the best masters programs in the world are in the United Kingdom. I'm not just going to travel or learn, but become familiar with the U.K. and the goregous city that is London. I might live there one day and this trip is the first step in deciding the rest of my life. 
The total cost of the program is about $5,200, but I'm only trying to raise a small portion of that for outside expenses, if I surpassed my goal that'd be wonderful, but any little thing helps. I'm trying to raise $1000 for grocery, travel, and incidental expenses like emergency funds and the like. If you can give $5 that's great! If you can give more, even better, but truly every little bit helps. I've never wanted anything so badly in my entire life. College is about finding out who you are and what you can do to make a difference in this world- and I believe theatre is my calling. Whether or not I end up as a performer, a teacher, or an advocate for the arts- going to London will be an amazing opportunity to learn, grow, change, and be a part of where it all began.
