Falling On Hard Times. Help Lift Us Up.

In May of 2016 my wife had brain surgery for a condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia. She was given an 80% success rate. Unfortunately, the surgery was a failure. There is no cure. I thought life was looking up when I found a job in the union as a laborer. We immediately lost our insurance because of it. Needless to say, 1000s of dollars in meds are now at my pockets trying to find a way to get them for her. In October of 2018 the motor in our car failed because GM refused to put a recall out on a bad motor they had known about for years. So we are out a vehicle. About 2 weeks before Xmas our landlord decided that he was selling our home that we had rented for 8 years. We had 10 days to get out. We threw everything in storage and now have to keep it paid cause our entire life and memories are in there. Thankfully we have a roof over our head thanks to my mother n law. With the weather in the Midwest I had not worked in over 2 weeks but they finally allowed us to claim unemployment a few days ago. I will be getting $176 per week but still waiting for it to go through. We just need a little breathing room until things get situated. We don’t need this long term just some destressing for our kids and ourselves. Food and gas are the main thing so that we can get to drs appts. And my wife’s meds of course.
