Protecting Katie

My step daughter Katie came home from a visit from her biomom. She told us that the biomom's boyfriend physically hurt her. We need to file an emergency petition with the court to keep Katie safe. We need the money so we can have a lawyer to help us. Without a lawyer, Katie may have to go live with her biomom and boyfriend. My husband and I are terrified about Katie being hurt again. She is 5 years old and can't protect herself. She is counting on my husband and I to protect her. We can't do that without a lawyer. Please help us protect an innocent child.

We don't have physical evidence. We only have the word of our kiddo. This situation makes me concerned that there isn't justice for kids. If we don't get a lawyer, and biomom's parents (who have lots of money) get biomom and attourney we could lose the most important thing in the world to us.
