Warning: Idealism ahead!
This fabulous Houston landmark has been foreclosed on and is on the market for far too reasonable an amount to last for long before the vultures attack and tear it to the ground.
Help us raise the funds to buy it outright so we can complete the additions in our own time.
We walked through the property about two years ago during the estate sale after the previous owner's death. It is fabulous and in need of saving rather than razing.

The front house is gorgeously outfitted. There is a completely mirrored alcove, a fully wood paneled living room (done well, not like the 70s told us it should be), and a fabulous glassed in greenhouse/sun-room.
Do you see that upper deck? Can you imagine what that top deck will be like on July 4th and December 31st each year? Yeah, you'd be invited to those if you help us fund it! How much is that worth to you? It lacks railings along the stairs to get there and we'll need to fix it before we can host firework viewings.
Between the front and rear buildings is an extensive deck and a tiny bean of a 'pool' (in need of serious work). What was once simply going to be a garage apartment has been framed out and the exterior walls are in place, but none of the interior is completed. So now that could become ANYTHING!

Current plans are to repair necessities first, inhabit the front house, and over time work to complete the unfinished bits. Events for repair and recreation will become a fixture in this abode.
