Mark A. Forester Memorial Walk
Donation protected
Mark A.Forester was one of the best and most inspiring man I've been Blessed to know! Our friendship grew throughout our United States Air Force Special Tactics Combat Control training. Near the end of Mark's first deployment to Afghanistan, he faced the enemy head on as he attempted to rescue a Fallen Comrade. In his final act of Heroism, he was mortally wounded on 29 September 2010.
At the time of Mark's death, I was operating in a different region of Afghanistan and was unable to attend his funeral or any of his memorials. This will be the 5th Annual Memorial Ruck and I've attended each year. The 1st year I volunteered throughout the event KNOWING I would complete the Ruck the following year. On my second deployment to Afghanistan, I was severely wounded and over the past 4 years, have undergone 30 limb salvage surgeries and physical therapy to successfully save my legs and return to mobility.
Last year, I successfully completed the 33 mile walk alongside my Brothers In Arms and all those dedicated to keeping the memory of Mark A. Forester alive! This year, I am going to take on the additional challenge of wearing a ruck-sack! Your Donations strengthen and increase opportunities for the "Mark Forester Foundation" to positively impact more individuals who embody the same Moral Content, Values and love of God & Country that Mark displayed each day of his life. Last Year's Recipients !!
