Transitional support after surgery
Donation protected
Profile--Presenting my 2 Jazz albums, my advanced music theory book "Symmetric Cycles", music in 4 different genres for licensing/placement opportunities, music videos, work experience, musical and professional resumes.
By way of introduction, I am a 30-year veteran songwriter/producer, guitarist, keyboardist, recording engineer, Live Sound engineer, and Stage Manager (currently with Grammy Award winner and Latin Music Hall of Fame member Larry Harlow, Aurora Flores' Zon Del Barrio, and Jon Geist's Guitar Studio Concert Series, all out of NYC).
I will be having surgery in early May on my right elbow and wrist involving ulnar nerve, ligament, and tendon damage sustained in an injury falling off the back of a dimly lit stage area while working (as an independent contractor) as a Live Sound Engineer/Stage Manager at a Larry Harlow concert at Summerstage, NYC on August 29, 2013.
Because of these injuries to my right elbow/wrist (I am right-handed), I have been unable to work as a Stage Manager (setting up bands and moving equipment) with my 3 major clients mentioned above as well as not being able to work as musician/producer of artists that I work with in my home studio, RMCO MUSIC.
After 5 months of misdiagnosis (even after numerous X-rays, CAT scans, and MRIs) I have depleted my savings and am respectfully requesting 6 months of transitional support to help in paying our bills (partial rent, electricity, telephone/internet, OTC medication not covered by Medicare, basic cable TV, transportation, etc.) which amount to $900/month for 6 months while I recover from surgery and physical therapy to get back to work. My wife of 23 years, Mary is disabled, and cannot work as a vocalist (formerly with Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway, and Maxine Brown), having just had brain aneurysm surgery on Nov. 27, 2013 and I am and have been her sole caregiver as she slowly recovers...full recovery will take about a year. Any donation in any amount to help us get through these difficult circumstances will be greatly appreciated and I thank you for taking the time to read this.
To get a better idea of my long musical career, I am at the top of 3 search engines, Google, Yahoo, and Bing. simply type in "bobcrawford-rmcomusic", "bobcrawford-symmetriccycles" OR "Jazz-Bob Crawford" and roughly 7-10 pages (about 70 entries) will appear at the top of those sites. I also have attached my LinkedIn Profile at the top of this text and another link at the bottom of this text containing my bio, work history, musical resume, music for licensing, and my 2 jazz albums and music theory book "Symmetric Cycles".
I thank you all for your time and attention, and for the existence of this site.
Best regards,
Bob Crawford
