Food For Thought

Food for Thought is a breakfast and snack program that is distributed to the students enrolled in the ENL (English as a New Language) summer school program.   Since it's inception in 2013, we have served over 3,000 breakfasts and 4,900 snack bags to students in our community.  Our initial outreach was so successful that we raised over $14,000 in a matter of weeks.  We were able to fund the program for four years.  In order to fund this summer's Food For Thought program, we are seeking doantions from our community again.  

Facts:
- It costs $2.25 a day to provide a child with a breakfast and a snack bag.
- It costs $55.00 to provide a breakfast and a snack for the whole summer.
- New Paltz Central School District does not qualify for the federal summer school meal program.
