Rebuild Broadway Lights Dance Center

"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."- Aesop
The devastating storms that hit the Gulf Coast on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30, 2014, have greatly impacted our beloved dance studio, Broadway Lights Dance Center.
On the morning of Wednesday, April 30th I visited the studio and witnessed the destruction personally. The floors are destroyed, the electrical and stereo systems are compromised and the walls are questionably beyond repair.
The Brown and Stewart families have dedicated the past two years of their lives to creating a wholesome, family oriented dance center. They have cultivated the love and passion of dance amongst children and adults alike and have positively impacted the lives of countless individuals. They have not just created a successful dance studio, they have made all of us a family.
I am asking my family, my friends, our students, and our community to join me in raising funds to assist in rebuilding our studio. For now, we require a place to hold classes and some basic equpiment- stereos, mats for tumbling and props for our creative movement program.
In the next few months we will need to replace all that has been lost and, as we all know, that will require a larger financial commitment. This is a new obstacle, and one that will develop continually through the next few days and weeks, but one we can all work together to overcome.
As one of the first teachers of Broadway Lights Dance Center I am pledging to donate a matching donation of $500.00 for the first $500.00 raised. This is not just about going to work or earning a pay check, this is about continuing to support the passion and love of dance within our students and giving back to a dance studio that has given so much to all of us.
No amount is too small, all donations are appreciated! Let's work together to rebuild Broadway Lights Dance Center!
