Vet expenses for Paula Ham
Donation protected
Paula Ham had a terrible week with her Bur-Dee, whom we bred (Rufus ex Visa). Bur-Dee's diagnosis is still not certain, but she contracted an intestinal virus about ten days ago (5/1) and almost bled out with all the symptoms of parvo or hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. Her WBC was essentially zero and she had to be isolated in a sterile room on heavy antibiotics at the emergency clinic with round-the-clock care. She is still there (Sunday 5/11) but should come home tomorrow or Tuesday. Paula is not a wealthy woman and cannot afford the bill. On top of this, her Chirp lacerated her eyeball and requires several hundred dollars of medications. Paula's ophthamologist thinks the eye can be saved, but if not the operation to remove it is expensive.
As Bur-Dee's breeder I will be helping directly to the vet clinic so Paula can get Bur-Dee home when she is released. The remaining amount requested is to pay back the loan Paula had to get to get Bur-Dee in the door and to help with Chirp's medication.
Please help with whatever you can afford. All funds collected will go to Paula except for the nominal fees this site charges (5%).
