The Hudson Portuguese Club is a nonprofit organization that has been around for over 100 years. This club focuses on celebrating and sharing Portuguese culture with everyone. We promote music, dance, feasts, sports, arts, citizenship, language, and just about everything that makes the Portuguese culture unique and wonderful. The club looks to bridge the gaps between generations of Portuguese immigrants and the rest of the community to unite and share in a rich and hardworking culture steeped in traditions determined to maintain an identity as Portuguese Americans.
The club helps the community through the annual walk for a cure, donating function hall space to other non-profits for fundraising purposes, runs annual blood drives, provides scholarships, and continues traditions such as the Nossa Senhora de Fatima Festival, imperios, religious traditions, children's folklore dancing, teaching Portuguese to adults and children, among many other contributions to the community. Funds donated will go to helping the club remain open for generations to come. Please consider making a donation to save a culture and community.
We need help, no one wants to see a Portuguese club close its doors. In order to maintain our culture and traditions as a united Portuguese community we must all support each other in times of need and show the rest of the state and country that Portuguese people may vary from Madeira, to Santa Maria, to Mocambique but that we are a unique diversified community that is tied together in language and tradition and most importantly that we will not go down without a fight.
We must be united to maintain all Portuguese communities because while this may be just a "club" to some, it is very much the center and beating heart of the Portuguese community in this part of Massachusetts.
