The Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre has been serving the community for 91 consecutive years, and we are currently heading into our 92nd season.
Over the years, the cost of maintenance, productions, and materials has continually increased, which makes it difficult to keep up with the changing times. The winter of 2013-2014 brought some hardships upon the theatre, and we are doing everything that we possibly can to keep going. In order to bring you our exciting 92nd season, we need your help. A little bit goes a long way. We are asking you, the community that we have served for 91 years, to help us keep going. All it takes is a small donation of $10 and a share of our campaign. We have over 1,000 fans on Facebook (wow!) and if each one can donate $10, we can reach our goal. If in turn, each one of those fans shares this and at least one of their friends donate $10, we will double our goal. This is just a small example of what can be done. We are happy to take as little or as much as you wish to donate, even if all you can give is your time as a volunteer at one of our events.
We want to keep bringing you live, entertaining theatre with big dance numbers and fantastic music. Most of all, we want to keep you and our volunteers comfortable. If we can fund our season through fundraising, then profits from the shows can go to better our facility. We can fix those chairs that are broken. We can make it so that the heat doesn't go out in the winter leaving our actors scrambling to find a new space to rehearse until it works properly again. We can update our sound system so you can hear us better and enjoy the show more. We can get better bathroom facilities. We can fix the roof and leaks. The possibilities are endless of what we can do with your help. Most of all, we can show you our appreciation by continuing to bring you live theatre in an environment where you can be comfortable.
