Buy Mari Ruddy a new bicycle
Mari Ruddy is a type 1 diabetic, cancer survivor, and the founder of the American Diabetes Association's "Red Rider" program, which encourages people with diabetes to ride bicycles to improve their health and raise funds for the American Diabetes Association's national Tour de Cure program. She's been personally involved in helping raise millions of dollars to help find a cure for this devastating disease that affects more than 26 million Americans and millions more worldwide.
In mid-May of 2014, while out on a ride, Mari encountered a pothole that broke both front forks of her bicycle and destroyed her bike's frame. Unfortunately the bike was totaled. We are hoping to raise about $3000 to purchase Mari a new road bicycle so that she can continue to do her wonderful work for ADA.
