Help create A Bigger Peace

We're the Hadleys: Michael, Angela and our three children. We are a typical American family with an unusual dream: to convert an old school bus into an off grid home that we can take across country spreading peace through acts of service to others and hopefully encourage people to live more simply along the way. We are selling and giving away most of our belongings and moving into a 1990 Bluebird bus on April 1st and we couldn't be more excited. However, we  have spent all of our available money on the bus itself; it will take thousands more to convert it to a simple off-grid home. It's kind of important that our dream is realized, because homelessness is a very realistic threat hanging directly over our heads. But, that won't be the real heartbreak if we fail at this venture. We dream of bringing a busload of shoes and clothing to communities struggling with astronomically high child poverty rates; we want to bring our plastic bag mats to the homeless across this country and inspire others along the way to make them as well. We want to help build community gardens in food insecure neighborhoods and reconnect with our true purpose in this life. We want to help re-build communities across the country and encourage simple, green living. Michael and I want to show our children the connection we have to all of our brothers and sisters and we delight in anticipation of the peace that selfless service will bring to our family.
