Youth soccer in El Salvador
Donation protected
This campaign aims to raise funds towards the purchase of soccer (futbol) equipment for the children of a small town in the rural country side of La Libertad in El Salvador. The town is called Los Amates, named after the large trees that once covered its hills. The town has been granted a field space for recreational soccer. Once the goal is met, we will purchase soccer balls, cleats, nets, and shin guards for the kids of the town. These items will then be hand delivered in December of 2017 and a short film will be documented. Futbol is undoubtly the most popular sport in the region. Many children idolize players like Leonel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, going to great lengths just to watch them play on television or spotty wifi streams. Our hope is that with the field space and sport equipment available, these children will have the opportunity to benefit from the power of play in their own hometown. Your support means a lot to me, but it will mean a whole lot more to the boys and girls receiving a new pair of cleats. Thank you for taking the time to read and please consider donating any amount possible.
