Help Alvaro rebuild his home
Donation protected
Alvaro was the program coordinator for a Witness for Peace delegation to Venezuela I attended in July of this year. He is an incredible man, working tirelessly for the good of his planet, country, and especially his community, where he works (without pay) year-round, including a summer camp for kids in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. His five year old daughter is something of a musical prodigy, playing the drums better than they have teachers to teach her, and his wife is a kind woman who is there with them every step of the way.
Last weekend his house collapsed, putting Alvaro and his family on the street, and he does not have the money to rebuild it.
I do not know how much it will cost to repair his home, but everything we can send him will help.
For a little more info about Alvaro, and a short video of his daughter drumming, see my blog at http://vagabondurges.com/2014/09/29/a-home-for-alvaro/
Thank you for your generosity.
