Aidans Arsenal
Donation protected
This past weekend an unfortunate event happened to Trish and Dereks son, Aidan.
He was visiting Six Flags in Georgia with his school for a performance. While changing costumes he needed to disconnect his insulin pump and (cgm)Continuos Glucose Monitor.
As he was getting ready to take the stage, he realized he hadn't reconnected his pump and ran back to the bathroom where he knew he had left it. Unfortunately, the pump and CGM were gone.
With insurance issues, it's very unlikely the insulin pump will be covered or when another one will be available. Meanwhile, Aidan has to manually give himself shots (something he hasn't done since 2007) and constantly monitor his sugar level.
If you would like to make a donation towards replacing the $6,345.00 pump, this page has been set up for you to do just that.
If insurance does end up covering the replacement, funds will be used on other kids with Type 1 Diabetes per Trish and Derek' request.
