Aoibheann & Saoirse - The Big Cut

Aoibheann (8) and Saoirse (4 ) are growing their beautiful healthy (very thick) red hair to donate to a childrens charity which create real hair wigs for ill children.

This was Aoibheanns idea and as her little sister had never had her hair cut we figured why not join her. 

However, Aoibheann also wanted to give more. She wanted to fundraise and we allowed her to decide on charities of her choice. Her first choice was one which is helping our little pal Ella Cusker, Lir Preschool, which is a special needs preschool in Mullingar. The second was one which Aoibheann came across locally. There is a lady here who is suffering from MS and as Aoibheann knows one of her daughters this caught her attention. Niamhs Rocket to Russia is a charity set up to raise funds to send this lady to Russia for pioneering treatment. Niamh heads to Russia in Sept. We are hoping that the cut will take place before she goes. 

I am sure all will agree these are very worthy causes and while we appreciate there is alot of fundraising taking place around the country we hope that those who know us know we do not ask lightly. Niamh is a young mother who deserves a chance to enjoy life with her two young girls and Ellas preschool Lir has been a great support to her family as well as to many others and need funds to do those special additional activities which make all the difference to children who need additional assistance. 
Every bit counts,  we would love to see the 500 but to exceed would be amazing!
