Achieving My Business Dream!

Hello everyone,
My name is Makayla. I am 18 years old and I am currently attending Modesto Junior College. Although this is a great way to start my future, it is not always the way I anticipated. Throughout high school, I took many challenging classes and did everything possible to shape a bright future for myself. I have never recieved a B on any report card, graduating with a 5.0 GPA. I took AP English Language, English Literature, United States History, Microeconomics, United States Government and Politics, Psychology, Calculus AB and Calculus BC. Recieving A's in all of these advanced classes filled my head with immense amounts of textbook knowledge. I am extremely thankful to have learned these important topics, and have never regretted a single moment of it. Unfortunately what my advanced classes did not teach me, was how to pay for a UC or CSU for six years of my life. Neither of my parents attended college, resulting in a lack of assistance when it came to figuring out this mess. I applied to so many scholarships and tried to gain as much experience as possible by volunteering for various organizations. I pushed my limits, but still ended up empty handed. I was going to recieve financial aid to help cover my costs of attending CSU Chico, which was a great help. What I did not know, was that this financial aid would be reduced by the amount of scholarships that I recieved. Essentially, I had worked so extremely hard for no benefit. I was devestated. Even with my approved loans, it was impossible to cover my tuiton. This is how I ended up at MJC. A junior college is in no way a bad thing! I am fortunate enough to be able to attend any college, and I am very proud to be a student at MJC. I know, though, that after recieving my associate's degree, I will need to transfer to a higher institution in order to get my bachelor's and eventually my master's in business administration. I am currently working part time, striving to get as many hours as possible in order to save money for my future years of tuiton at a higher institution. This is where I am asking for your help. As you can tell from my high school record, I am extremely passionate about learning. A higher education has never seemed to be an option, but a necessity. Attending a higher university would allow me to expand my knowledge and passion of business and potentially be the next biggest entreprenuer in the world. Any donation that you made to help me reach this goal would be appreciated beyond the point of being expressed. I would use your donation for tuiton and books directly, for my third and fourth college years. I am only in my first year of college currently, so I am looking for half of my goal by 2018 and the second half by 2019. I will remember my donators throughout my success and will repay you with my service to the United States economy through my knowledge of business.
