Save Buses 321, 348 & 349

The Boys & Girls Club of Hernando County, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization,  opens it doors to  over 1300 children every year in Hernando County Florida, providing a safe haven during out-of-school time and over the Summer.  Our primary mission is to ensure  that all young people, especially those who need us most, reach their full potential as responsible, caring, productive citizens. 

We have three buses—321, 348 and 349.  They are all getting up there in years and need a little special TLC this year beyond their normal budgeted maintenance.  Our mechanic, Redline Diesel Ingenuity, LLC of Spring Hill has looked them over and has provided an estimate of $6,400 to get all 3 back to  the child transporting dream machines that they are!
The repairs include new alternators, batteries, brakes & drums and replacing an air conditioner.   The air conditioner may seem like a luxury, but in Florida during the summer, the buses get very hot and the children may be in them for over an hour on Field Trip Days!
