Jamiebug's BUGHUGS
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Jamie but my friends & family know me as Jamiebug.
After my double lung transplant due to End Stage Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 I was inspired to start a personal project to help patients who were facing end stage disease and waiting for the gift of life through organ transplantation. My husband and I spent everything we had to make my double lung transplant possible. Generosity and love from others made it financially possible as well. I received gifts that gave me hope when I felt like I had none...so now I want to give back and give hope when I KNOW it can be hard sometimes to find. I created jamiebug's BUGHUGS. They are quality duffel bags filled with donated items like handmade blankets/quilts, PC tablet, gift cards, personal hygiene items, and personalized gifts for each patients needs. Each bag costs around $1000 to put together and ship. My hope for my project is to get enough support to get at least 2 or more bags out in 2014 and maybe in the future become a foundation so I can help even more terminally ill children and adults.

I have been successful (with the help of many generous friends and family members) to have given out 2 bags in the last year. This is Susanne who was recovering from terminal rejection and was hoping for a chance for a second organ transplant. She was nominated to receive a BUGHUG in the spring of 2013
My dream is to get as many bags as I can out to patients who need them and I'm doing that one bag at a time.
I also have a personal blog that you are welcome to visit jamiebug.blogspot.com
