Tobi is on a mission

Hello Family, Friends, Colleagues and Art Fans,
It's the time of my life where I decided its time to bring together my love of the arts and passion for giving back to the community in a creative way.

THE ARTMOBILE NonProfit Program was developed...
through 53 meetings with community colleagues, arts agencies, community leaders in the arts, and social services agencies to obtain their input and insights on the program.  Additionally, conducted a field scan of the literature on arts-based youth programming. I was learning interesting and relevant information which helped me craft this program. Next, I talked with representatives from model art outreach programs around the country in order to identify "best practices."

The mission of the Artmobile program is to enhance the lives of underserved youth  ages (7-11) living in high risk and  underserved neighborhoods by creating hands-on, culturally rich, art experiences that ignites imagination and leads them to discover their own unique creativity, talent, and ability.

Help me reach my goal to raise $28,500 by
October 1,
2017. The donations will go towards the purchase of a used 20-25 passenger shuttle bus and the cost to retrofit the interior of the shuttle bus to become a full service art studio equipped with heat, A/C, lighting, storage, project space and electricity to maximize the experience. We will happily accept an in-kind used shuttle bus.

This nonprofit program is intended to directly benefit the youth ages 7-11 living in low-income, high poverty and high unemployment  neighborhoods where there is limited access to high quality arts programming.

We will testing the program this summer in the Hilltop at the Columbus Public Library, the Hilltop Branch and in Franklinton in The Franklinton Board of Trade. The youth in these neighborhoods will have access and exposure to arts programming where there is limited or no arts programs. The Artmobile Program will fill in the gap.

NOTE:
Until the shuttle bus is purchased or donated and the retrofit of the interior is comlpete, the safe project space for the summer will be in a sturdy, portable white canopy tent with zipper sidewalls and in the inside will be 2 folding tables with plastic chairs at each table. There will be daily projects that include reading a book, art supplies, art instruction and education, water and healthy snacks for each participant.

The children living in these neighborhoods thank you for your support.
