CEF Peer Support Line

Donation protected
The Carolyn Edward Foundation is a non-profit foundation which was formed out after a tragic motorcycle accident injured our friend and Manchester Connecticut EMT Caroyln Edwards.

The foundation has now grown into a state-wide foundation with the mission of supporting the Connecticut EMS community.

The foundation is now working towards developing a State-Wide Peer Support line which will be staffed by Connecticut EMT's and Paramedics.  EMS responders are committing suicide at alarming rates of 1 provider every 2.6 days or at a rate of 11 per day per capita.

We need a place to talk, to share, to cry, to vent and to hopefully help and heal.  Start-up cost for training and cost for establishing and maintaining the phone-line are estimated at $10,000.

Any amount that you can donate will bring us that much closer to our goal of "Helping the Helper" with this gravely needed Peer Support Line.

The suicide rates are at epidemic levels, won't you please help end these tragedies?
