Disabled Veteran home fund

my husband is a disabled Veteran of the United States Army. He has fought for years for proper medical treatment for his disabilities;all while struggling to support his family. He has done 3 tours during Operation Iraqi Freedom; believing that he was doing the right thing by putting country first. He got medically discharged this past January due to his disabiliities and we have struggled fighting the government to get the benefits and compensation that he earned. No service member should have to fight the very government that they swore to protect. As a result we are living on the small compensation from the VA while we wait for our appeal to go through. I am his 24/7 caregiver due to his disabilities. He has been diagnosed with PTSD, spinal injury, knee injuries, severe memory loss, depression, sleep apnea, insomnia, gastrointestinal problems, anxiety, and many times loses control of his nerves and shakes uncontrollably. He cannot be alone for too long because of the risk of falling and such. Due to our fight with the government, his treatment, and inability to work we are struggling to keep our heads above water. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible for him to even begin to get better while we continue to struggle awaiting the government to do the right thing.We are asking for assistance from anyone who is willing. Update: we are officially "homeless". Thank god for a friend allowing us to stay with her so we are not out in the streets. We are hoping to be able to get the home we found that is PERFECT. The challenge now coming up with the 6000.00 we need to move in. Anything will help. Thank you so very very much.
