DJ Chris Allen's Medical Fund
Donation protected
On September 20, 2014, beloved DJ Chris Allen was rushed to the hospital with severe shortness of breath and a high fever. Doctors struggled to find what was causing it and finally determined it was a critical case of pneumonia stemming from a fungus that Chris probably inhaled a year before. He was on a ventilator in the UTMB ICU for 3 weeks. Multiple organs began failing due to the strong drugs used to treat his illness. On Thursday October 9th, Chris' heart finally stopped. Wife Erica and sister Jennifer were with him til the end.
Unable to work, his medical and personal bills racked up and his family does not have the savings to cover all his expenses from his medical bills and funeral costs.
Chris Allen was a Texas based DJ, VJ, radio personality, producer, remixer, musician and writer. He was a DJ since 1992, spinning at Oilcan Harry's in Austin, F Bar in Houston, HALO in Bryan/College Station, and 3rd Coast in Galveston among others. An award winning artist and a generous soul, Chris was also a family man, with a beautiful wife Erica, 3 kids, sister Jennifer Mason and her family, and mother Joyce Mason Ledoux.
For other opportunities to donate food and money to the family, please contact Jen at jmason67 at comcast.net
As Chris would say, “Remember, life may not always be the party you had hoped for, but while you're here, you might as well dance.”
Chris is spinning for the heavens now.
