CIY Believe Tour 2015!
Thank you for taking the time to look over this page! For those who may not know me, my name is David Roediger and I am an audio engineer living in Anchorage Alaska who specializes in audio production for small to large scale concerts, corporate A/V, and houses of worship.
What Have I been Up To?
2014 has been an exciting year for my family and I. For starters, we found out early in the year that we would be expecting our third child, Cadence Grace - our first girl. In June, I had the great pleasure of being hired by the Luis Palau Foundation as an audio engineer for “Love Alaska”; an evangelical outreach that featured Luis Palau, local artists, pastors, political leaders, and headlining performances by Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, Lincoln Brewster, and Toby Mac. Some other summer highlights included: participating in Alaska’s first ever Warped Tour Festival, becoming a local representative for Kansas City based A/V/L/A (Audio, Video, Lighting, and Acoustics) design and installation company Stark Raving Solutions, and partnering alongside the Anchorage Baptist Temple (Alaska’s largest Baptist ministry) in support of the Fusion Alaska Youth Conference, which featured the Jordan Howerton Band, and Jeremy Camp!
The Opportunity.
Even though I have been greatly blessed to be a part of many exciting events in Alaska, a longtime prayer of mine has always been for God to use the talents he has cultivated in me to do something that would have an impact on tens-of-thousands of people for the glory of His name - this prayer was answered. In June of this year, I was contacted by Christ In Youth Ministries (CIY) with an offer to go on a multi-city tour across the country in support of their 2015 Believe conference. The Believe Tour is a “high production” conference, who’s content is created and produced specifically for Jr. highers and traveled around the U.S. communicating the gospel to over 40,000 youth! CIY works in partnership with the local church, providing more than 100 annual program events for students and leaders across the United States and in more than ten foreign countries - calling students and leaders to boldly live for Jesus through the hope of the Gospel message for over 40 years.
How You Can Help?
While God has opened this door for me to serve his mission on a larger scale than ever before, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this work in several ways. First, you can help by sharing this page with all your friends. Second, please pray for my family. Pray that God would prepare us for the many days of separation that lay ahead. Also, please pray that God would bless my efforts in serving the CIY ministry and that many would respond with a saving faith to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met - at this time we need to raise $6,000.
Another way you can be involved is to help provide that financial support. CIY has committed to offering me a competitive and fair wage, although there are some additional travel costs associated to my Alaskan residence that are not covered in the tour budget. Because of the higher airfare due to weekly travels to and from Alaska, I will need to raise $3,500 in additional travel expenses. This support can be met as monetary donations and/or airline miles (Alaska Airlines compatibility preferred). Other financial needs include $1,500 to offset a temporary reduction of income from local Alaskan contracts and $1000 in needed supplies such as: Insurance, luggage (able to endure 30+hrs a week of travel for 4 months), tools, and a Stage Manager’s kit. Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, sharing this page, or all the above, all of your support is greatly appreciated!
I look forward to doing God's work in serving alongside Christ In Youth Ministries and letting you know all about how God has worked through this tour while out on the road!
God Bless,
David Roediger
