If you're reading this, you know our often glowing & overwhelmingly positive Dawn! She is a spirit full of light & not only one of the most genuine people you will meet, but also one of the most passionate & creative people you will ever know. She doesn't like the word "can't" & is resourceful to make it a "can".
If you've spent any time around Dawn, you probably have had your life changed to see the world bigger & better. She is often in the moment & shares her enthusiasm of being so. For some, maybe you got to spend time with her working on perfecting a physical endevour or performance. For others, maybe it was a chance meeting of a gracious beauty often downplaying looks for her self described tomboy athleticism. Or perhaps you got a glimpse of her goofy sense of humor. Even better, perhaps you saw her with her 3 daughters headed to activities, usually with their friends & neighbors included. One thing is always a certain at the Waggoner's home, all are welcome & Saturdays are meant for sleepovers. That's just Dawn's positive nature & her neverending loyalty that includes all as family. But no matter how you met Dawn, she undoubtedly had a impact on your life.
Having endured prolonged personal litigation from ex (which continued 3 yrs after divorce), she was left with just her home, but no savings. So, last summer, she decided to sell her home, so her oldest daughter could have a car to go to college & to put into motion a two-year vision of a specialty photo business start up (sure to be another one-of-a-kind company, like the TBT she started 23 years earlier). She had some savings, a great plan, positive attitude & the tools to make it happen.
However, our go-getter took great pause after receiving news of BREAST CANCER this past August & kept her health diagnosis private for months. Her diagnosis, the most common type of breast cancer brought added concern as her cancer is a fast grower, growing 60% faster than others. Having been healthy all of her life, this literally took the wind out of her sails & her deflated pride has kept her silent & distant .... not normal traits for Dawn.
Right now, she could really use some help from family & friends. Since January, she's had 3 surgeries & is now pushing through ongoing chemotherapy treatments, which has equally ongoing side effects (This will continue through summer 2015). Due to the fast growth of her cancer, she's on an aggressive treatment plan, which limits her ability to work. She has remained quiet regarding her personal health & finances, but bills are growing faster than she can address.
Those who really know Dawn know how difficult it is for her to ask for help, especially for something personal like this. Even so, if you can help, it would mean the world to her & her daughters. Please share with your friends and family & let's help get Dawn through this!
If you want to help through a donation but would rather not do so online, you can always mail directly to Dawn at 13423 Athens Tr., Austin, TX 78729.
