Dallin and Carissa's story:
Family and friends, we are in desperate need of your prayers. On Saturday November 8, 2014 our sweet Dallin was injured in a very bad horse accident. Dallin and his family are in the cattle business. While wrangling cows in Kanab, Dallin's horse rolled on him and he was life-flighted to a hospital in St. George. Because of the location of the accident it took life flight a very long time to reach him. Dallin suffered a collapsed lung, as well as severe trauma to his brain. He is currently unconscious. The doctors are very concerned because of the deep bruising to his brain stem. They have communicated the seriousness of this injury and the very real possibility that he may never wake up from it. There is always the possibility that he could regain consciousness, which would include a very long road to recovery. Dallin has been placed on a ventilator until his lung can be repaired and he has also had a feeding tube placed so that he can get some nutrition into his body. Right now, it is just a matter of waiting. Dallin and his sweet wife Carissa are expecting their first baby at the beginning of January. Carissa was up here in Northern Utah for her baby shower when the accident happened. She and Dallin's mom Tammy rushed down to St. George as quickly as they could, along with all of Dallin's and Carissa's siblings and Carissa's parents, Phillip and Cindy Matthews so that they could be by his side. Please continue to pray that, if it is Heavenly Father's will, this family can be healed and receive the comfort, peace, strength, and understanding they are so desperately in need of. Please also pray for the medical staff, that they may be guided by inspiration. We believe in miracles and in the power of prayer! Please share this page with as many people as you can and ask them to please add their prayers to ours. The entire Hunt family and Matthews family, as well as all of their extended family, appreciates your love, concern, and prayers. We will keep you updated.
