Drums for Drummers in Memory of David Boudreaux

Donation protected
Aside from his successful career in A/C work, his love for big boy toys (Corvette, boat, motorcycle, ATV), and his unwavering loyalty as an avid Saints fan, David’s greatest joy and talent was making music, ranging from keyboard, bass guitar, and vocals, to his first love, the drums. Through the years, he and friends formed bands playing for fun and also for hire in numerous clubs in the greater Baton Rouge area. He was happiest when he was jamming with his friends in his own jam room, or in one of theirs, or together on a stage. David had a quick wit, loved to make us laugh, and attracted a circle of friends around him wherever he spent any time. He had no children, but dearly loved his siblings, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephew. I am his eldest niece, Holly. With him being my youngest uncle - only 17 years between us - he treated me more like a little sister than a niece. My daughters, Leslyanne & Annabel, are like the kids he never had - he doted on them like they were his own; being a Great-Uncle David made him feel old, so he wittingly referred to himself as David-the-Great in relation to them. And GREAT he was. You could never meet a more humble, loyal, fun-loving friend. He was a true Good Samaritan, responding to anyone who needed anything and never passing judgment. I’m so indescribably proud of him; how hard he tried, how much he loved, how fully he lived. His heart was always in the right place, and I want his legacy to carry his good intentions forward. I have been in contact with Tom Stewart, founder of the Drums for Drummers charity. All funds raised in Uncle David’s memory will be donated to this incredible organization whose mission is to give more kids an opportunity to learn how to play drums by providing refurbished drum sets to school programs in need. I believe Uncle David’s soft heart would beat like a badass drum solo to know his loved ones are helping kids have the chance to love drumming as his legacy. We deeply appreciate your memorial donations, thoughts, and prayers. More info about our chosen charity can be found at drumsfordrummers.org.

God Bless,
Holly & all the Boudreaux Family
