Help Elijah Beat Perthes Disease

Elijah is a caring and energetic 10 year old boy who loves people, sports and life. Elijah is the quarterback for his football team and plays baseball and basketball. In May of this year Elijah was diagonsed with Legg Calves Perthes Disease. A rare childhood diesase that is not life threathing rather life altering . The news of Perthes disease has been very heart breaking to Elijah and his family. Knowing that his normal every day activities would be very limiting and the things he loves to do would not be an option for him at this time. 

Upon hearing about his disease the Specialists  and Doctors at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital told him to consider taking up activities that would use his mind and not his body. Believing God for another option, Elijah and his parents began looking for other options. That is when they found Dr. Standard a Perthes Expert in Baltimore Maryland at Sinai Hospital.

Upon visiting Dr. Standard, he believes with a couple of surgeries that only 3 Dr's. in the world perform, Elijah could regain a completely normal life after his suregeries, hard work and time to heal. So upon hearing this amazing news Elijah has been sceduled for his first surgery June 29th in Baltimore.

Funds raised will be used to help pay large medical bills, the cost of traveling back and forth to Baltimore, housing expesnses while in Baltimore.
