Sponsor Spay/Neuter for Fairborn Ferals
Donation protected
Stray and feral cats were being trapped and euthanized in the city of Fairborn. In response to this, a group of concerned animal lovers has come together and formed the Fairborn Community Cat Committee and, in cooperation with City leaders and help from the Humane Society of Greene County, has started a Trap/Neuter/Return program. We had our first successful TNR about a month ago, with two males trapped, neutered and returned to their territory. This week, six more of our community cats were successfully TNRd. This costs money, however, and our small committee is unable to continue sponsoring the spay/neuter/vaccination of these cats out of their own pockets.
We are asking for donations to help us continue this important work. You may donate here, however, we are not yet designated non-profit so donations would not be tax deductible. In order to be able to claim your donation, you may send a check directly to The Humane Society of Greene County, P.O. Box 51, Xenia OH 45385. You MUST include the words "Fairborn Cats" on the memo line so the funds go directly to the account set aside only for our community cats.
We have set up a Facebook page, Fairborn Cat Chronicle, as sort of a newsletter to keep the public informed of what progress the committee is making. The link is https://www.facebook.com/FairbornCatChronicle.
And of course, we could always use more volunteers. If you would be interested in helping, please contact the page admin.
