In memory of Yvonne - Ben Nevis

Farleigh Hospice is a truly amazing local charity that provides hospice care to people who are unfortunately diagnosed with life limiting illnesses or, even worse, nearing the end of their life. One such person was my mother, Yvonne Bailey, who sadly passed away on 29th November 2017. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in mid 2017 and Farleigh hospice were nothing short of amazing in providing support from both a medical and emotional perspective - not only to her but to her friends and family too. Their caring staff helped to make what was an absolutely terrible period of time that bit easier and I know she will be eternally grateful for everything they did, as am I.

To mark the one year anniversary of her passing, we will be doing a sponsored climb of Ben Nevis in Scotland with the aim of raising as much money for Farleigh as we can. With this money we hope to help Farleigh support other families and individuals who have, through no fault of their own, found their whole world come crashing down around them.

We are set to travel to Scotland and make the ascent on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of December and have set an ambitious target of £1000 so please, any contributions to this fantastic cause would be massively appreciated! As a point of reference, all travel and accommodation costs are being funded by ourselves so every single penny that we raise will be going straight to Farleigh so that they can continue providing the amazing service that they do.

So please people, dig deep, and donate what you can! And to all the people that helped my Mum whilst she was unwell, thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
