My name is Debby and I have known Vicki for over 40 years. And I have known Frank for 35. Vicki and Frank have been married for 35 years and anyone that knows them, they are eachothers better halves, soul mates, her Mr. Happy and the love of her life! They have 3 beautiful children. Their oldest son just got married and their daughter is getting married in August 2015. Our goal is for Frank to walk his pride and joy down the isle.
Frank is a heavy equipment operator for N.J. water and Vicki is a nurse. I have so much respect for the job Vicki does. She takes care of infants/children that have serious medical problems. She works the night shift and monitors these children so their parents can get much needed rest. She is an angel and a Godsend for these families. Vicki is all about the children!
However this time she needs your help and prayers for her husband.
On January 27th after snowplowing neighbors driveways, Frank was working in the garage on his mom's car. Something on his clothes ignited on a propane heater and Frank was severly burned. Thank God, Vicki happened to be home that night. Frank is in ICU at St. Barnabas Burn Hospital. The toxins have infected his lungs, and he is now on a vetilator, unable to breathe on his own due to pneumonia. The biggest fear is infection. They did his first skin graft and were hoping it would have gone better.
We have a prayer circle on FB under Franks Helping Hands.
Frank and Vicki have a very long and scary road ahead of them. He is not out of the woods yet, fever set in last night. Possibilities he will never walk again, or breathe on his own, and of course he will never be able to return to his field of work.
Frank and Vicki are always helping others and never ask for anything in return. This time they need your help. Frank will be in the hospital for months and months with lot's of surgical proceedures ahead of him. The bills will be astronomical!
So I wanted to reach out to everyone on their behalf. Please help me to raise money so Vicki can have the time off she needs to be with her Mr. Happy. They will be going through so much, and I would like bills to be the least of their worries.
