On Christmas morning at 3:00AM an SUV drove through the front of boutique Girly Girl Gifts and the wedding planning office space of Celebrated Events , in South Bend, IN. The driver of the vehicle had fallen asleep. This accident has basically put the small locally owned business out of business for the foreseeable future.

Owner Cynthia Basker plans on rebuilding and reopening but this is going to be a long and difficult process. Cleanup won't begin anytime soon, all the debris left in place until insurance adjusters can inspect the damage, sometime after the first of the year.
