Glen Helen Water Quality

Tax deductible
Mission of Glen Helen states: “We steward and strengthen Glen Helen for present and future generations, safeguard the ecological, historical, and geological resources within its bounds, and utilize the preserve to offer life-shaping environmental learning to our students and visitors.”

Glen Helen Ecology Institute has been monitoring the water quality in the nature preserve and other sites in Yellow Springs, working with Chemistry Class students from Wright State University.  The results have shown that the natural preserve helps improve the water quality in the region. However, testing throughout the Yellow Springs area is important to identify sources of problems, including E.coli and nitrates.  Your donation to Glen Helen will provide funding for laboratory supplies and will  continue this testing program.

Monitoring water quality is just part of the exciting environmental efforts offered through Glen Helen. . Glen Helen also offers outdoor educational programs, a center for birds of prey, camps, naturalist training and many other activities.

Your help is crucial to continue water quality monitoring. Clean, safe water is essential to babies, children and adults.  Please consider a gift to this important cause.  Watch our video and read our posts. For more information, contact Glen Helen at (937) [phone redacted].

Your help means so much to Glen Helen, Wright State University students and the broader community.  Please give today.
