Greg Saska Rebuilding Fund
Donation protected
Dear friends and neighbors,
This photo may look familiar to you. This is Greg Saska looking at the Poinsettia-Carlsbad fire engulf his home and burn it to the ground. His home on Skimmer Court, Carlsbad, CA was the first casualty of this fire on May 14, 2014. He was helpless as he stood by and watched the fire take everything he owned. Almost every media outlet has a picture of his home on fire or the charred remains of where his home used to be.
Greg inherited this home along with 2 of his classic cars from his mom and dad. He is retired and living on a limited income, and has had a difficult time keeping up with his insurance payments, thereby allowing it to lapse. He had planned on renewing it as soon as he got some additional funds together but the fire beat him to it.
As friends and neighbors, my husband and I are setting up this fund to help Greg start the rebuilding process. We are doing this because Greg is not only a good friend and a kind soul, but because we feel so fortunate that our house is still standing and it is the least we can do for someone less fortunate.
We hope you will join us in helping raise the funds needed to help Greg built a decent house where he can live comfortably for the rest of his days.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
