Guildford People to People
Donation protected
We are a group of people from Guildford who want to do something to improve the condition of migrants in Europe. These are people who have risked their lives fleeing from their homes in war-torn countries like Syria, Afghanistan, Sudan or Somalia. They should not be left abandoned.
There is such great need for migrants and refugees across Europe who are living in sub-human conditions, and there is such eagerness across the UK to respond to what has become a chronic humanitarian crisis. We are coordinating the response from Guildford and the surrounding area and making sure that all donations are sent directly to the people working on the ground to make the Calais 'jungle' and other camps across Europe a safer and more humane place to live. We will be in continuous contact with charities working in Calais and across Europe and make sure that our help gets to where it is most needed.
There is a shortage of food, warm clothes, and medicine. There are people with urgent medical needs living in the camps. We want to show love and kindness to the people living without hope, and demonstrate people before politics, seeing victory over inequality and injustice.
We will be the light in the dark places, and continue to hope and pray that the people living in migrant camps across Europe will overcome oppression and live freely as we do.
