Want to have fun? Take the 30-60 DAY RAW FOOD/VEGAN PLEDGE with Dana Rondel. Eat primarily raw food/vegan meals for the next 30-60 days and have family, friends and supporters pledge $5 or more per chosen number of days to support your efforts.

For instance, if you commit to eat (90% - 100%) raw food/vegan meals for 10 days and a friend(s) or family member(s) pledges $5 per day, at the end of your 10 day commitment, you will receive from your donor(s) $50. Then as part of the Healthy Lives Campaign you'll donate the money you earn to support our health awareness efforts. We are truly making a difference in peoples' lives through our mind and body health awareness campaigns and community initiatives. Take the pledge and submit your donation when you have completed your pledge period.

Not sure what to eat? Surf the web for ideas. There are plenty... But to start, enjoy this delicious salad below or simply blend a whole food, green and/or fruit smoothie...

HEARTY SPINACH SALAD (Complete Meal);

1. Fresh, organic baby spinach, chopped
2. Sliced avocado (optional)
3. Sliced or whole organic grape tomatoes
4. Sliced organic cucumber with skin
5. Dried raisins and/or cranberries
6. Raw, organic sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, diced almonds or walnuts
7. Drizzle over salad organic extra virgin olive oil
8. Add 1 or 2 cap fulls of lemon juice, Bragg apple cider vinegar or squeeze fresh lemon
9. Sprinkle a bit of Herbamare seasoning (available at health food stores only) or organic, celtic sea salt

Yummy! You are more than welcome to substitute some of the ingredients. For example, replace the spinach with kale, romaine or mixed spring/summer greens and/or include fresh fruit like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or grapes.

Health Info: Kale is a low-calorie, nutrient dense powerhouse of antioxidants, including vitamins A and C. Per calorie, kale contains more iron than beef and more calcium than milk, and its better absorbed by the body than most dairy products. A single serving (about a cup, chopped) provides 5 percent of the recommended daily intake of fiber, plus two grams of protein. The versatile veggie is tasty lightly steamed. It is also a rich source of both omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids. Wow!

When making smoothies, I recommend using non-dairy milk, such as coconut or almond and natural, organic and raw sweeteners like honey, palm or coconut sugar. If bananas are well ripened no sweetener is required.

Well family and friends, let's go! and Let's have fun...
