Help Make Christmas Better
Donation protected
Hi, how are you? I'm not sure how to go about this, so I'll start by telling you who this is for:
Two months ago, after a difficult second pregnancy, my cousin Pamela had to have a caesarean section because her baby was breech. There were complications after it and she developed sepsis, and then celulitis and Pyoderma Gangrenosum, had twelve operations in ten days and was put into a medically induced coma.
After a few days her family - husband, new born, son Damien, sister Jill, best friend Razina (who flew in from Australia), her mum and dad, cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family - were invited to say goodbye to her.
Miraculously she has managed to pull through, but faces a long and uphill struggle. The hospital are estimating it will take Pamela at least two years to get back to semi normalcy.
This isn't the only struggle the family is facing. Pamela’s father has terminal cancer, and as a result of the difficult birth and after events, out of the 6 adults in the immediate family, only one is working. With Christmas on the way, with a baby and a pre-teen, the family have resolved themselves to only exchanging small gifts.
But this family deserve so much more. Pamela treats everyone like they are her favourite person. Her dad is the kindest person in the world I have ever met. Their family does not deserve any more badness.
So I am asking for random acts of kindness to shine through. If you could donate even £2, it will be a small something that, when added together, can bring a smile to this family’s face. It can show them that they don't need to battle alone, and that good things do happen.
Alternatively, you can send them a simple Christmas card, simply to show that they are in the prayers of different people.

***Some people have asked about giving gifts to the family - for the kids and adults - feel free to send them to the address above or to Pamela or Jill or Linda's house.
I am hoping to get the funds ready to give to them the week before Christmas, so that presents and food can be bought for the big day. The cards will be posted through their door on Christmas eve.
Thank you for reading this far, and if all you do is share this page, thank you, and God bless you xxx
