I AM The Group Foundation, Inc. is creating awareness about homelessness through "I AM Hopeful" Campaign, changing lives one career at a time. We provide with Career Assessments, Temp and Long Term Housing, Training, Life Skills and Resources to the homeless youth, at risk to become homeless, and displaced families.
Facts:
Over 72,000 Homeless students in public schools reported by the Florida Department of Education for the school year 2016-2017.
Over 1.2 Million Students dropped out of High School every year in the United Sates.
Homeless;
People who are living in a place not meant for human habitation, in emergency shelter, in transitional housing, or are exiting an institution where they temporarily resided; People who are losing their primary nighttime residence, which may include a motel or hotel or a doubled up situation; Families with children or unaccompanied youth who are unstably housed and likely to continue in that state (living with friends, family members, or couch-to-couch); People who are fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, have no other residence, and lack the resources or support networks to obtain other permanent housing.
With your support, we will be able to continue providing FREE career assessments to these under served population, provide with training and life skills, create an action plan for immediate (hotels stay) and long term housing, and match them with a career. We will be able to attend schools and create awareness but also provide with help to those in needs.
There is HOPE!
