In Memory of Aaron E. Mastrorio
Donation protected
SPC Aaron E. Mastrorio, 33, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on November 12 after suffering a major heart attack during an Army training exercise at Fort Bragg.
Aaron truly loved being with his family and friends. Whether it was sitting around the kitchen table or performing in front of a large crowd, his presence brightened every room. Being the comedian that he was, everyone always wanted a front row seat. Tears of laughter were often the result.
On August 15, 2017, Aaron enlisted in the U.S. Army. He completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, OK and Advanced Individual Training at Joint Base San Antonio, TX, earning his Military Occupational Specialty 68W (Combat Medic). His first assignment was to Headquarters & Headquarters Company, 44th Medical Brigade as a Health Care Specialist. In May 2018, Aaron and his wife Jenn relocated to Fayetteville, NC where they purchased a home near Fort Bragg.
Aaron’s military awards include: Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Aaron was the epitome of an American Soldier. His dedication to duty, family, friends and country were an inspiration to us all.
This memorial fund honors the memory of a wonderful son, brother, husband, friend, soldier, and hero taken too soon. These funds will go towards a scholarship for students interested in pursuing a career in the military and other causes that were important to Aaron, to be managed by his family.
We love you, Aaron.
The Mastrorio Family would like to express our gratitude to family, friends, acquaintances and total strangers that were kind enough to donate in memory of Aaron.
